Education Reforms A successful education reform is not limited to improvement in quality and access to education but it directly impacts economic growth. A country's education system and talent is critical for supplying its labor markets and ultimately drives its economic success and competitiveness in today's global business market. The traditional approach to education reform in developing countries has focused too often on a "bricks, books, and mortar" approach in which outsiders bring resources into a weak school system. Actovian's approach brings with it the issue of readiness; Learning environments need to reach a certain level of readiness before they can absorb and benefit from an infusion of resources. Actovian works with government, private corporations and NGO’s to identify ways in which the reform process is aligned with the larger development agenda of the country. We work with our funders and in-country educators and policymakers to improve classroom practices and school management, while addressing issues of resources and system structure. Actovian works with you to reduce the gap that exists between what education systems currently produce and what the country needs to achieve for its development objectives. Actovian provides expert consulting services within most elements of the education system, in particular, primary and secondary education and education sector reform projects. Our services include teacher training, curriculum development, education management information systems (EMIS) and development of teacher and learning materials. We are specialized in delivery of large, multi component and complex education projects in developing countries.
